One of the things the kiddos and I did this summer was go to the zoo a couple of times.
It was nice to get out of the house and actually go somewhere.
The kiddos got to practice wearing masks inside any of the buildings - which is good, since they're required at church and school.
Even Caleb is getting pretty good at wearing one without complaint.
They enjoyed looking at all the animals,
including trying to spot the lynx kitten, seeing the white calf, catching a glimpse of the baby wallaby hopping around, and finding the baby camel right next to the fence.
Even more, they enjoyed playing on all the different play structures.
The one by the red pandas is always a hit,Though the glacier and water is by far the favorite.
Things like this are why I love summer. Time to be together
and have fun without the stress of packing lunches, schoolwork, or being on time to the bus. Time to just be,
and enjoy.
