Spring Break 2022

Spring break started, perhaps predictably, with snow.

This meant we spent quite a bit of time inside. 

We built Lego,

including rebuilding old sets with whatever pieces fit, regardless of color. 

It got pretty crazy looking!

We played a few board games.

In a stunning turn of events, I actually convinced Craig to ally with ME rather than Calista while playing RISK. 

Now she knows how it feels. Haha.

Maybe next time she and I will take Craig down a peg.

We had a couple of dancing parties, 

including dancing to "Hair" by the Cowsills.

I did also make them go outside while it was snowing. 

This went well.

Nevertheless, I persisted.

And I finally convinced Craig to join Calista in building a snowman. 

Which they then enjoyed destroying immensely. 

But it wasn't just snowy all week.

In fact, this week the thaw really started in earnest.

We went from snow-covered playgrounds to patchy, wet playgrounds.

And then to nearly completely usable playgrounds!

Shorts weather for some, even!

Calista also got to do some service.

Kyler and I decided she was big enough and old enough to help him with moves, and she worked hard and loved it. 

It was a pretty quiet spring break, but it was nice to have a few days off of school to just play

hang out,

and be silly!
